MIZUNO VALOUR - ST

The Japanese developers combined five well-matched wood veneers with two carbon layers. This mix provides a good balance between speed, spin, and control for offensive attackers, especially in combination with the plastic ball.

Weighing about 82g, the Valour is comfortably lightweight and can easily be combined with heavier rubbers. The workmanship is of the usual excellent quality Japanese companies are known for.

The blade is not top-heavy and very well-balanced. Thanks to its two carbon layers, this blade provides good acceleration and is therefore also an excellent choice for half-distance players.

The touch is relatively hard. The best results are obtained in combination with modern speed glue rubbers. Both high-rotation opening topspin strokes and fast topspin shots can be played with ease.

The Valour is an interesting alternative to Chinese carbon blades that often have a very hard touch, or to other Japanese blades with carbon layers.
